So, here's the list of some 'Touchless Acne Scar Treatments':
1. Micro-needling radiofrequency (MNRF)
This is a safe and effective treatment for acne scars. In this treatment, the target area is treated through rapid penetration of insulated microneedles which stimulates release of healing growth factors. RF is emitted on the target area which degenerates the collagen fibers and promotes new collagen growth by stimulating fibroblast.
2. TCA peel
The use of trichloroacetic acid helps to improve the appearance of acne scars. This is a non-invasive skin treatment with minimal downtime. This peel dissolves the cells in the top layer of the skin. As the peel is taken off, new cell growth occurs and the new layer of skin is smoother and less scarred.
3. Neoclone laser
This procedure involves the use of thermo-mechanical energy. It shows effective results for medium depth scars. It promotes new collagen growth and hence reduces acne scars. Through channels produced through this procedure, a cocktail of serums and plasma rich in growth factors are delivered to a deeper layer of skin to provide faster and efficient collagen production.
4. Erbium YAG laser
This laser is a safe and effective treatment for atrophic acne scars. It targets both the epidermis and dermis by creating small zones of microdamage which favors rapid healing process for the treatment of acne scars. This type of laser treatment aims to remove the entire layer of skin with scarring. It can take about 3 to 10 days for the redness to subside. This laser triggers the target area to generate new cells and produce more collagen. Erbium YAG Laser is a resurfacing device which is used to treat various skin conditions. This treatment must be performed by an expert dermatologist.
5. Dermaroller with growth factors
This combination is one of the best treatment options for acne scars. It is considered as a better option than using a dermaroller alone in the treatment for atrophic scars. In this procedure, the dermatologist uses a special hand-held device with microneedles to prick the skin and stimulate the production of new collagen. Growth factors concentrate extracted from the patient's blood is then penetrated into the skin. This improves healing and decreases the duration of redness and swelling post-treatment. This process also stimulates collagen production in the skin.
